The University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) is one of the newest public universities in Portugal. Innovative, dynamic, creative, the promoter of knowledge, entrepreneurship and development, it is today a reference at national and international level.

To apply to UTAD’s courses as an International Student, it is compulsory the B1 Portuguese Language level.

Graduations and Integrated Masters
UTAD has a special competition for access and enrolment of the international student in the different cycles of studies.
- Not having Portuguese nationality
- Not being a citizen of an EU Member State
- Not having required admission by special access regimes or admission in the national access regime
- Not attending a Portuguese higher education institution in the context of international mobility program
Holder of a qualification that gives you the right for application and enrollment in a higher education institution in the country in which it was obtained;
Holder of a Portuguese high school diploma or legal equivalent degree
Hold specific academic qualification for admission in the course to which an application was submitted and have a level of knowledge of the language appropriate to the course or acquire it in UTAD.
