General Objectives
The 3rd cycle of studies leading to the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Sciences has as its main objective the training of researchers with a solid background capable of producing knowledge through the carrying out of original research, in a fundamental or applied perspective, in one of the various branches of Veterinary Sciences: Clinical, Food Quality and Safety, Animal Health and Biomedical Sciences.

Admission Requirements
- Holders of a master degree or legal equivalent inareas of the Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine or related;
- Holders of a bachelors degree with a relevant academic or scientific curriculum recognised as attesting the capacity to accomplish this cycle of studies in the areas the Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine or related;
- Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognised as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle.
