1. To offer students advanced training on Assessment and Prescription in the area of Physical Activity;
2. To develop technical, pedagogical and scientific professional skills that enable interventions of excellence in the area of Assessment and Prescription of Physical Activity;
3. To contribute to the academic progression, intellectual maturity and promotion of the research capacities of university and polytechnic teachers, in accordance with the legal provisions in force.

The main objective of the 2nd Cycle Course (Masters) in Sports Sciences, with specialisation in Assessment and Prescription of Physical Activity is to enable graduates to act with competence and commitment in clubs, sports entities, fitness centres, laboratories and R&D units through the deepening of up-to-date knowledge based on the latest scientific research, providing them with advanced training in the theoretical and practical aspects of the Physical Activity Assessment and Prescription process.

- Holders of a bachelors degree or legal equivalent in the areas of Physical Education; Physical Education and Sport; Human kinetics; Kinetics Sciences; Sports Sciences; Physical Activity and Health; Psychomotor Rehabilitation; or in other sub-areas of Health Sciences with affinity to physical activity (Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Sports Medicine, etc.) or related;
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, resulting from a 1st cycle of studies organised according to the principles of the Bologna Process, in the areas of Physical Education; Physical Education and Sport; Human kinetics; Kinetics Sciences; Sports Sciences; Physical Activity and Health; Psychomotor Rehabilitation; or in other sub-areas of Health Sciences with affinity to physical activity (Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Sports Medicine, etc.) or related;
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree recognised as meeting the objectives of the bachelors degree;
- Holders of academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognised as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle.
