General Objectives
The objectives of this course are:
- Promote the acquisition of knowledge in the scientific domain of the Language Sciences;
- Develop a work of research according to the demands established by the patterns of academic quality that can be presented and published in national or international publications;
- Deepening linguistic knowledge leading to a critical analysis work on the use of the Portuguese language;
- Promote the development of tools needed for the text production and proofreading;
- Identify and solve specific problems of communication and relationship with different audiences;
- Know different strategies that enable the performance of professional activities in areas related to proofreading and linguistic services.

Admission Requirements
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, resulting from a 1st cycle of studies organised according to the principles of the Bologna Process, in the course areas or related;
- Holders of a bachelors degree or legal equivalent in the areas of Linguistics or related;
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree recognised as meeting the objectives of the bachelors degree;
- Holders of academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognised as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle.
