General Objectives
To identify and characterise archaeological sites and contexts, in their environmental and cultural context, contributing to the detailed inventory of national archaeological resources;

To provide the country with qualified human resources in highly specialised areas, supported by a network of laboratory resources that will leverage them later;

To identify archaeological resources and integrate them into land use planning programmes in order to attract investment, with the consequent creation of jobs and population settling at local and regional level;

To understand the importance of the development and sustainable exploitation of archaeological resources as factors of profitability and minimisation of negative impacts;

To evaluate the scientific, didactic, heritage and cultural potential of places of archaeological and landscape interest with a view to their use as vehicles for regional promotion and development;

To prepare archaeological tourist routes to divulge and promote the regions;

To draw up risk maps in the field of archaeological heritage, in the context of land use planning;

Admission Requirements
- Holders of a bachelors degree or legal equivalent in the areas of Archeology, Geology, Anthropology, Geography, History, History of Art, Architecture, Tourism, Conservation and Restoration or related;
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, resulting from a 1st cycle of studies organised according to the principles of the Bologna Process, in the course areas or related;
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree recognised as meeting the objectives of the bachelors degree;
- Holders of academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognised as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle.
