General Objectives
- Provide the knowledge professionals supported in the results of the research competencies to intervene individually and in groups at the training centers. Day care, nursing homes and other entities in the current labor market;
- Contribute to the dissemination of results obtained in research projects of UTAD in the scope of the benefits of physical activity for the aging and for the academic progression of university teachers
And polytechnic; and
- Encourage critical analysis and the widening and deepening of knowledge, through accomplishment of academic works and master's dissertations.

Admission Requirements
i) Holders of a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent in Physical Education, Physical Education and Sports, Human Motricity, Motor Sciences, Sports Sciences, Physical Activity and Health, Psychomotor Rehabilitation, or in other subareas of Health Sciences with affinity to physical activity (Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Sports Medicine, etc.);
ii) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, resulting from a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process, in areas listed in item i);
iii) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as meeting the objectives of the bachelor's degree, in areas listed in item i);
iv) Holders of a school, scientific, or professional curriculum, recognized as attesting to the capacity to carry out the cycle of studies, in areas listed in item i).

Candidates are admitted to the cycle of studies upon proposal from the course direction, responsible for the evaluation and ranking of applications, and subject to a favourable opinion from the Scientific Council of the School of Life and Environmental Sciences (ECVA).
