General Objectives
This master's degree aims to respond to the needs of people and families from a point of view of health promotion, disease prevention and its complications, whose objectives are:
- to contribute to the training of professionals capable of developing skills in the challenges faced by families arising from specialised nursing needs in family health, health problems and demographic, social and epidemiological changes;
- To promote knowledge and methodologies of intervention in Family Nursing;
- To foster critical reflection on the context of providing lifelong care for the family;
- To prepare students to undertake scientific research aiming at responses according to the specificities of the people and families in healthcare and working contexts;
- To increase the development of a collaborative professional capable of adapting to the emergent, complex and unpredictable characteristics and challenges of health contexts.

Admission Requirements
- Holders of the bachelors degree or legal equivalent in the area of Nursing;
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree recognised as meeting the objectives of the bachelors degree;
- Holders of academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognised as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle;
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, resulting from a 1st cycle of studies organised according to the principles of the Bologna Process, in the area of Nursing.
