General Objectives
General:
a) To deepen scientific knowledge and competences in the field of Educational Sciences with particular emphasis on the areas of specialization, with a view to scientific development or application in a work context;
b) Reflect critically on education and training phenomena to investigate ways of research and action on them;
c) To train professionals with investigative capacity and educational intervention, particularly in specific areas of Educational Sciences

Learning objectives (knowledge, skills and competences) to be developed by students

a) Mastering scientific and educational knowledge and skills for the development of research projects or for application in a work context;
b) Design, implement and evaluate educational training, management and intervention projects;
c) Use digital resources in the context of educational training and intervention;
d) To provide argumentative solidity to the problematizations and decisions within the educational administration;
e) Empowering to lead innovation processes;
f) To sustain the pedagogical practice in the critical reflection theoretically based on the professional development;
g) Provide knowledge about theories and techniques of diagnosis, design, planning, organization, intervention and evaluation of programs and projects in the area of ​​adult education.

1 - The course is structured according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) under the terms of Decree-Law no. 42/2005, of February 22, and subsequent legislation, and applicable internal rules.
2 - The acquisition of the master's degree presupposes the achievement, in a period of four academic semesters, of 120 ECTS, in the terms established by the curricular structure and study plan, including the approval in the public act of dissertation defense.

Admission Requirements
The following are eligible to apply to the cycle of studies leading to the degree of Master of Education:

​a) Holders of a Degree in Teaching, Holders of a Degree in Sociocultural Animation, Holders of a Master's in Teaching, Early Childhood Educators, Education Inspectors, Higher Education Teachers

b) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum, which is recognized by the scientific council of the School of Human and Social Sciences, as attesting to the ability to carry out this cycle of studies.

- Professional curriculum;
- Candidates may be subjected to interview for selection and ranking.
