General Objectives
- to provide doctoral students with a specific and up-to-date training in the area of Cultural Studies based on contemporary theorizing;
- promote a specialized training in Cultural Studies promoting inter, trans and multidisciplinary dialogue;
- contribute to the development of methodological skills of advanced level in the area of Cultural Studies;
- encourage the implementation of projects that promote a broader dissemination of research in culture.

Admission Requirements
Access qualifications: general provisions
They can apply for the 3rd cycle of studies leading to the Doctor of Science degree in Culture:
a) Holders of the master degree or legal equivalent;
b) Holders of a bachelor's degree, holders of a particularly relevant academic or scientific curriculum which is recognized as attesting to the ability of the Council to carry out this cycle of studies
Scientist at the School of Human and Social Sciences (ECHS) at UTAD;
(c) holders of a school, scientific or professional curriculum which is recognized as attesting to the ability to carry out
of this cycle of studies by the Scientific Council of the School of Human and Social Sciences (ECHS) of UTAD.
Selection And Ranking Criteria
- Adequacy and classification of access qualification;
- Scientific curriculum;
- Professional curriculum;
- Candidates may be subjected to interview for selection and ranking.
