General Objectives
— To apply the fundamentals of the systemic paradigm and human communication in family evaluation and intervention;
— To argue the development of family health nursing based on ethical-legal, sociopolitical and epistemological references of the profession and of Community Nursing in the area of Family Health Nursing;
— Acquire specialized skills for decision making in the área of Family Health Nursing, focusing on the demands arising from adaptive responses to transitions at different levels of prevention;
— Apply the models of evaluation and intervention in the family and its members, as a care unit, throughout the life cycle and at the different levels of prevention, in interface with Public Health and Community Health;
— To develop research and leadership capacity in Community nursing in the área of Family Health Nursing

Admission Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing or legal equivalent;
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree recognised as meeting the objectives of the bachelors degree;
- Holders of academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognised as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle;
- Holders of a bachelors degree or legal equivalent in the areas of Nursing;
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, resulting from a 1st cycle of studies organised according to the principles of the Bologna Process, in the area of Nursing.
