The University of Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) will open its doors to secondary schools on their Open Day / 2018, which will take place next March 21. This initiative, which already fulfills its 17th edition, allows visitors, prospective students of higher education, know inside the university, with all it has to offer: eco-campus learning environment, research, social and cultural life and career opportunities.
Dozens of schools, districts of Vila Real, Bragança. Porto, Viseu and Lisbon, have already made their registration to participate in the numerous activities of the Open Day. Taking into account that in the near future, these young people are students in higher education, will meet in this Open Day, many good reasons to opt for UTAD. The University offers well over fifty activities to be accompanied by visitors according to their desires, ranging from exhibitions, films, guided tours, laboratory experiments, wokshops and interactive demonstrations. May well know from the secret life of microbes, the labyrinth of cells, the frenzy of the robots, the secrets of biology or plant vitro, Behind the scenes of a university tv, assembly and disassembly engine, the language of a dead animal, how to act in first aid, what are the drones on a daily basis, among many other suggestions.
Throughout the day, teachers, researchers and students of UTAD will be at the service of visitors, accompanying them and dispelling doubts about the functioning of the University and all it has to offer, from the supply of education and career opportunities, to all academic environment , cultural and social, which makes this institution and Vila Real, a privileged place to study, work and invest.
