This is a true landmark in the University. Considered one of the largest botanical gardens in Europe, it highlights the difference between UTAD and all of Portugal’s other universities. With around 1000 different species from the four corners of the world, it is an authentic display of biodiversity. It is not by chance that UTAD, operating within this natural over-abundance, has been establishing itself as an Eco-University, a differentiating purpose that provides powerful added value for the future. That is why studying, teaching and researching in this environment, at this University, is a challenge as stimulating as it is enriching.
