It has twenty-five members:

  • thirteen representatives of UTAD professors and researchers;
  • four student representatives;
  • seven members of recognised merit who do not belong to the University but who have knowledge and experience relevant to it;
  • one representative of the non-teaching and non-research staff.

The General Council elects the Rector under the terms established in the Articles of Association and in accordance with the procedure established in the respective regulations.
