The Student’s Ombudsman is an independent body whose function is to defend and promote the legitimate rights and interests of students within the University.

The Ombudsman develop the activities and initiatives deemed appropriate to the good performance of the students in conjunction with UTAD’s Academic Association, the bodies and services of the University, namely the Pedagogic Councils of the various Schools.

Students of UTAD may present to the Ombudsman expositions about actions or omissions of other students, professors, organs and services of the University, its organic units of education or research, that will appreciate them, without decision making power, directing to the competent bodies the recommendations that understood as necessary.

The exposition can be presented in person, but it has to be written, and can also be presented by letter, form or e-mail, and must include at least the following elements:

  • The identification of the student, namely the name, student number address, and e-mail address;
  • The reasons for the exposition;
