UTAD’s eight research centres and several branches of national and international research centres, are structures aimed at carrying out continuous research, transfer of science and technology, diffusion of culture and provision of specialised services.
The University is recognised by the auspicious environment for research, innovation and technological development in varied scientific areas, equipped with modern facilities and equipment. Its researchers are integrated into important international projects and have several approved patents.
UTAD adhered to a policy of open access to scientific work produced, with the creation of a Scientific Repository that aims to store, preserve, disseminate and give access to the intellectual work of UTAD in digital format.
UTAD’s EURAXESS Mobility Center is supported by the European Commission with the aim of promoting mobility and career development of researchers, consolidating Europe as a leader in the excellence of scientific research. It aims to encourage and support the international mobility of researchers, providing assistance to all national and foreign researchers wishing to develop scientific activities in our R & D Units, Schools and Departments.
