University <-> COVID 19 <-> I
- Monitor signs and symptoms daily, especially with morning and evening temperature measurements;
- Be aware of signs and symptoms compatible with COVID 19, such as cough, fever (≥38ºC), difficulty breathing, headaches, loss of smell, loss of taste, skin spots, tiredness, vomiting and diarrhea, among others.
- I can’t go to the University. If you live with other people, they also cannot go to the University;
- I must contact the telephone line SNS 24 (808 24 24 24) and act according to the information provided by health professionals;
- Inform the University by telephone extension 4199 (or 259 350 199) or by email covid19@utad.pt.
- If the type of contact is considered to be of high risk by the health authorities, I will not be able to go to the University until I have authorization to do so and I must proceed according to the instructions received;
- If the type of contact is considered to be low risk I can go to the University as long as I remain asymptomatic, but I must keep an active watch on symptoms for 14 days from the date of exposure to that case, if confirmed.
NOTE: High risk of exposure
- Cohabitation with confirmed case of COVID-19;
- Health care-associated exposure, including:
- – Direct care delivery to confirmed case of COVID-19 (without use of PPE);
- Unprotected contact in laboratory environment with SARS-CoV-2 samples.
- Direct physical contact (handshake) with confirmed case of COVID-19 or contact with secretions contaminated with SARS-CoV-2;
- Close contact (face to face) or in a closed environment with confirmed case of COVID-19 (ex: office, classroom, meeting room, waiting room), at a distance of up to 2 meters for more than 15 minutes;
- Travel with confirmed case of COVID-19.
The Health Authority may consider other persons not defined in the previous points as a close contact (assessed on a case-by-case basis). Low risk of exposure (casual contact)
- Sporadic contact (in movement/circulation) with confirmed case of COVID-19;
- Contact face to face at a distance of up to 2 meters AND for less than 15 minutes;
- Contact in a closed environment with confirmed case of COVID-19, at a distance greater than 2 meters OR for less than 15 minutes;
- Protected contact, that is, with the correct use of a mask, even in a closed environment, regardless of its duration.
- Only when you have face-to-face classes and other essential appointments;
- For access to Food Units;
- For access to residences;
- For access to Consultations.
- Always wear a mask;
- Respect the respiratory label;
- Avoid touching the eyes, nose and mouth;
- Wash your hands frequently with water and liquid soap for at least 20 seconds;
- Reinforce hand washing:
- – After contact with food;
- – After using the sanitary facilities;
- – After contact with surfaces in public places (door handles, handrails, elevator buttons, public transport, among many others).
- Always try to bring an alcohol-based antiseptic solution with me.
- Be aware of physical distance from other people according to the posters that the University has posted;
- Avoid staying in very frequented and closed places;
- Avoid greetings and effusive expressions of affection with physical contact.
- If I am in class, I must inform the respective teacher and go to the nearest isolation room;
- If you are in another context, go to the nearest isolation room;
- In both cases I must:

- Inform the University by telephone extension 4199 (or 259 350 199) or by email covid19@utad.pt.
- Inform the School President so that the necessary steps can be initiated vis-à-vis colleagues and teachers with whom I contacted and so that absences from face-to-face classes are highlighted;
- Provide information to the University via e-mail covid19@utad.pt
- Go directly to the desired building;
- Disinfect your hands at the entrance;
- Comply with established circulation circuits (entrances, exits and right-hand traffic, among others);
- Maintain safe distances;
- If there are no constraints, do not use the elevators.
- Enter according to the discipline indicated by the teacher;
- Sit only in the places marked as allowed;
- Do not occupy and do not touch adjacent spaces;
- Avoid moving from my place;
- Keep the mask well placed (covering the nose and mouth);
- Respect the Respiratory Label.
- Leave according to the discipline indicated by the teacher;
- Wash and/or disinfect hands;
- Follow the defined circuits to reach the destination keeping the recommended physical distance.
- Assistance by teachers only by appointment and maintaining a safety distance between 1 to 2 m;
- When accessing any other type of services, comply with the established rules;
- Outside buildings, avoid agglomerations of more than 4 people, maintaining safety distances of at least 1 m;
- Avoid staying at the bus stops and not providing long and common expectations with more than 2 people.
